Nope, updates have always taken 4-6 months for all non-Apple phones for “testing” – AT&T and Verizon. Nothing new here. Apple has always got to bypass that process.

No, the gnex had problems from the start and many of them, the gnex won’t be a year old till Dec. The s3 has better radios, better guts period.I have a gnex and wife has an S3 so I have experience with both, we have the same battery and her’s last a whole day easy

If Motorola really does announce those products next week, I sure hope they don’t take months to release them. As much as we give Apple grief over here, at least they do one thing right: When they announce a product, it’s available for purchase a few weeks later. It’s obviously a winning combination for Apple (and smart), so I’m not sure why no one else has picked up on this.

I think you’ll see a new Verizon nexus when Verizon starts using voice over lte and kills their cdma network, maybe 2014?

Also Apple updtaes will take 4-6 months to roll out on verizon now. Since Verizon “rigorously test” updates for lte, they’ll have to wait now too. That actually makes me happy a lil bit. Because if they push out apple updates instantly when they come out, all hell will break loose from android owners, which might make vzw push updates faster, doubtful but wishful thinking

acer’s Iconia Tab A110 is going to be something of a Nexus 7, with a lower res. screen and no built-in NFC, but with micro-SD, hdmi-out, and USB capable of mounting mass storage devices. It will be an uncrippled Nexus 7, in other words.

Maybe September or so for about the same price as the N7.

Can we stop acting like the HTC phone is for sure real?
There are so many possibilities that going off just one benchmark is kinda dumb. Maybe they’re working on a competitor to the Ouya or something with that Playstation Certified contract they had and were testing the device on a TV. Rather than make the device tell the screen size, they just put a dummy screen size of 5 in. Or, more likely, it’s a 10 inch tablet and they just didn’t bother putting a proper screen size in.
I’m just saying. HTC owns no screen manufacturer. There’s no way that with almost every big screen maker having their own smartphone division that they get such a revolutionary screen first.

cant wait to see the Galaxy Nexus 2! I WONT dare get it on Verizon. As soon as my contract is up im buying it directly from Google!
