I reviewed the Galaxy S3 Flip Cover back when the device first launched, so I’m not going to talk about this one in much detail other than the color. This is really just me sharing the new colorways that Samsung has available and what the green version looks like in person.

As you can see, it’s bright. Like, really bright. I’m sort of digging the look so far, just because it now looks like no other phone on the market. The back is neon-pastel-puke green. I know, I’m weird for admitting to liking this, but for whatever reason it has been growing on me over the last few hours. 

Back in early August, we had a chance to show off the Portenzo Book Case for the Nexus 7, a hand made Maple and canvas thing of beauty. Today, we get to show you the newest creation from Portenzo, one that I would put up against any other case on the market. This is the Alano, and damn is it pretty. 

Today, we’re taking a second look at XGEAR’s tempered glass screen protector for the Galaxy Nexus, called the Fantom. We first took a look at these back in July when XGEAR was getting close to being on final samples and definitely noticed a couple of issues which they have told us have since been addressed. So as part of Reader Appreciation Week, we wanted to talk about our new impressions and then hand a couple of these $30 tempered glass protectors out to the best Android community on the planet.

At first, we hesitated because typically, we see readers who care more for softer feels and portability in a case, but then we learned that these are custom, hand made in the U.S. with incredibly high quality materials and had to give them a try. One is a two piece standard back cover case, while the other is similar to flip cases, but with a snap and a really good fit and feel. 

Earlier today, we took a look at the XGEAR Spectre tempered glass screen protector for the Galaxy S3 and came away impressed.
