by: | posted 03.08.11 | Accessories, Accessories, News, Reviews

Continuing on with our XOOM accessory reviews before we finalize our actual device review, we’ve got the Protective Gel and the Portfolio cases to quickly talk about.  Protection for your brand new $800 device using some sort of a case seems like a no-brainer, right?  And since these are the only two Motorola-branded or approved ones available, they made our list.  Are either of them worth their arguably-steep price tags?  Let’s find out.

XOOM Accessory Review: Bluetooth Keyboard

by: | posted 03.04.11 | Accessories, Accessories, News, Reviews

So I’ve picked up a handful of Motorola XOOM accessories over the last week and figured it was time to start reviewing them one by one to help early adopters decide if any of them are worth your hard earned money.  The full review of the actual device is still on the way, but to lead up to it, we’re going to work through most of these accessories, starting with the Bluetooth keyboard.

Review: thinksound ts02+mic headphones

by: | posted 03.04.11 | Accessories, Accessories, News, Reviews

When you are in the technology business, you get the opportunity to check out a lot of really cool products, but it’s not that often that you find one that is also doing its best to make the world a better place.  Now before you start dropping, “Shut it treehugger!” comments, hear me out.  Just a few days ago, the guys at thinksound said they would be sending over a pair of their ts02+mic headphones that were supposed to be Android-friendly.  I really had no idea what to expect.   The minute I opened the package though, I instantly got it.  Quality materials. Incredible sound. Small eco-footprint.

Review: Command One Bluetooth Headset by Motorola

by: | posted 01.17.11 | Accessories, Accessories, News, Reviews

I have to admit that when I first received a Command One bluetooth headset, I was really more interested in the idea that I could give one away to readers than actually reviewing it.  And then I pulled it out of its cute little package, charged it, and used it.  Talk about a solid bluetooth, and one that is easily the best I’ve ever used.  While I haven’t used a ton because I refuse to be “that guy” with the ear piece in, cruising the grocery store, the Command One definitely impressed me.

Review: The New ezeStand XL Gives Your “Hummer” a Home

by: | posted 01.17.11 | Accessories, Accessories, News, Reviews

As our long time readers know, we’re big fans of the ezeStand, which was one of the first and most affordable DROID stands on the planet.  The original came out back around April 2010, and since then we’ve given away at least 3 of them through a variety of contests.  The guys behind this classic have been kind to the Droid Life community, so it brings us great pleasure to help announce their newest product, the ezeStand XL.

Accessory Review: Arkon Galaxy Tab Stand

Our buddies over at Arkon sent over one of their new Samsung Galaxy Tab fold-up stands to review and I’ve got to say, this is a great little product.  Made from what appears to be high quality plastic, the stand folds up to 7″x1″x1″ and can be easily-stored in your laptop bag, briefcase or other type of man-bag.  It has adjustable legs and backing, grippies for that non-slippage we all enjoy, and should be considered if you own any kind of tablet.

Introducing the Chinjuu DROID Stand, Where Art and Metal Meet Technology

by: | posted 10.04.10 | Accessories, Accessories, Reviews

The Chinjuu Droid stand is a look at where accessories could go if you were to start with a vision and finish it off with some high quality materials.  I’ve used just about every Droid stand on the planet and this by far is the most impressive one I’ve seen yet.  The build quality, feel and look all come together seamlessly, forming a product that I hope inspires other artists to see what their imaginations can create.
