In Preview 3 of Android 6.0, Google included a handful of new wallpapers, all of which we have for you below. Some of the new wallpapers will look like releases from the past because of their aerial views, but Google also mixed in new colors and textures into many.

The OnePlus 2 may not arrive until August 11, but one of their lead OxygenOS designers just handed out the phone’s wallpapers ahead of time to “keep the hype up.” There are supposed to be 27 wallpapers in the bunch, but we’re only counting 25. Still, here are 25 free wallpapers that will probably look good on any device, not just the new OnePlus 2.

Wouldn’t you know it? It’s Wednesday. And you know what that means – it’s Google Apps Update Day! So far, app updates are available for Hangouts (available earlier this morning) Google Wallet, Inbox, and Android Wear. While today is not as hectic as last Wednesday in terms of updates, these improvements are certainly welcomed from Google. (more…)

Of all of the Google apps reworked to incorporate elements of material design, Calendar may be the slickest. It adopts the design paradigms of Android 5.0 Lollipop – bold colors, hovering widgets, and drop shadows – to great effect. That work extends to the in-app backgrounds; best viewed in tablet mode, each month features gorgeous artwork. (more…)
The Galaxy Note 4 was officially unveiled by Samsung at a global press event last week, so as is the case shortly after these get-togethers, the wallpapers from the device are now in the wild.
As you know thanks to our coverage, the Note 4 features a 5.7″ QHD Super AMOLED display, so the wallpapers are quite large, weighing in at 2560×2560. Not only are they large, but Samsung has opted for a few very bright choices, likely wanting to show off the capabilities of their new Super AMOLED panel. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 4 next Wednesday, but if you want a taste of the device now, the folks at SamMobile have you covered. Posted this afternoon in its full QHD resolution (2560×2560) and 17MB self, the stock Note 4 wallpaper is now available for download.
It’s colorful, brings back memories of past Note devices, and is huge. This ‘paper would make a good home screen filler on almost any device you own, including a high-res tablet. (more…)
