The only time I can see why someone would want to type with one hand is
if they’re driving or something, and then it’s just not a good idea to
be typing at all…(even if you can do it with one hand without
looking).

I have two hands so I might as well use them while I’m typing. I can’t think of a reason not to. That’s like trying to walk with one leg when you’re other one works just fine, just doesn’t make sense. The only time I can see why someone would want to type with one hand is if they’re driving or something, and then it’s just not a good idea to be typing at all…(even if you can do it with one hand without looking).

As far as the logistical difference between two handed typing and one handed typing, the fact of the matter is with two fingers typing you can push more buttons faster….even if you’re using T9. When you have two fingers there typing, one of them is always going to be near the letter you want to push, as opposed to having to reach across the keyboard when you’re typing one-handed.

They show this keyboard doing all this cool stuff, but swype doesn’t work, hand write doesn’t work. As far as I’m concern it’s no better than stock!! WTH

Im digging the new trace KB in sense 3.0. Only thing I miss from swype is going from the “?” to the space to input the symbol.

hahaha don’t get emotional men I’m just saying is way easier to type on a T9 keyboard than is to type on swype

it may be that I’m old school and got use to T9 but i can type fast and pretty much without seeing my phone using a t9 keyboard, same which i have not accomplished with swype or anyother keyboard

i have also noticed how the gingerbread keyboards seem to be very very good and predicting my text almost more so than any other keyboard, swift key was cool but i am constantly wiping my phone for new roms and swift key is only good once it has built up a library to search from.
