I voted up . I don’t get why people hate the ear buds though. I mean I would not go out and buy a pair, because I think they are over-hyped and over-priced. But I think the quality sounds really nice, and I thought it was great to get a set of ear buds with my phone. As for my personal preference though when it comes to ear buds, I believe I will always stick to the higher quality Skull Candy ear buds. I have a pair of the “50/50′s”, and they sound well above adequate. I also still have the very first pair of Skull Candy ear buds I bought, they are made to wear with a beanie but I don’t recall their name, and they sound really decent as well. Not on the same level as the “50/50′s”, but still very nice.

The only thing Beats sound acceptable on for me is my Klipsch earbuds.

I have a $3k home stereo and with beats enabled it sounds awful. In my car, I have a 240 W 4 channel amp for my door speakers and a 500 W single channel amp for an enclosed sub in the trunk and with beats enabled it sounds awful. I have tried in on my Sennheiser 558 and Sony XB700 over the ears and it sounds awful. The Beats audio distorts the bass (especially at high volumes) and makes the mids and highs sound muddy.

I have the Rezound and must say that the Beats enhancement is amazing, its like night and day turning the enhance on! Especially with a pair of quality headphones (I have studios) its amazing!

A bad one at that. I feel on my One X, with beat’s audio enabled that they just took an equalizer and lowered the volume on everything over 100-120 Hz. It’s not like they boosted bass, they just turned down everything else.

And if you connect a phone with beats enabled to a decent home/car stereo, the distortion is ridiculously awful.

Saw this coming. They realized there were apps that were better equalizers that don’t just jam bass/treble in your ears. Plus I’ve been told by multiple sound mixers that work for our local film studio that they don’t even come close to being the industry standard for mixing.
