Tegra 2 is pretty subpar for a CPU these days, too. It doesn’t compete with the TI OMAP 44xx series, nor the Samsung Exynos 4210. That’s not even mentioning the Tegra 3, Exynos 4412, and the other quad-cores coming out (even there, the Tegra 3 is behind because it uses an ARM Cortex A9 architecture instead of an A15).

nVidia is often first to market, but they also, as a consequence, often rush to market with a substandard tech spec (in the mobile space, at least). The modem tech is interesting in theory; I’ll wait to see how it plays out in practise. Once the 28nm LTE modems are out we can do a valid comparison of power draw.

Can someone please tell ZTE they need to get a good looking (or just a normal looking) clock widget? Just like with the retail packaging for the AT&T Avail, that uber-ugly clock gets right in your face and makes the Mimosa X look much uglier than it really is.

Aside from the CPU, those are pretty subpar specs. Nvidia might really wanna get Tegra into some better devices before this thing becomes the face of the technology.

nVidia is awesome and while I am skeptical of them doing well from the ground given their lack of such small format experience, I think they will be just fine.
