The thing that really frustrates me with the stock browser is the zoom buttons that pop up in the lower right corner. When you have pinch to zoom why is this even there? Or better yet, an option to remove it?

mini is quicker and can’t be skinned. it also doesn’t support extensions. it’s not a big trade off imo. mini is faster if you’re looking for an alt browser. i wish stock would support tabbed browsing & a new bookmark UI. it’d be unbeatable

I am one of those that always seems to go back to stock but if there was one feature I wish it had it would be pin-to-zoom. xScope has it and the easy one handed zooming is awesome but no browser seems to work as smooth as stock for me.

I’ve only used dolphin for about a year now and I’ve always been able to do all of those.

Would love to see another “browser poll” kel…..on that note, Miren has been the only alt browser 2 keep me from using The stock browser…..ive tried them all at some point in the last year and a half, but kept going back 2 stock, Miren just does it 4 me

Browser poll!! I’d like to see what everyone’s preferred browser is and why. I currently use stock because (from what I understand) it is the fastest. I’ll have to give the new Dolphin a try.

It wont install for me, anyone else?

It tells me all user data will be saved after I open it from my previous dolphin install but then it says “application not installed”.

I dont want to uninstall the old Dolphin as I dont want to lose my bookmarks.

For my Droid, I use Dolphin HD because it’s better than the stock phone browser.

However, for the XOOM, the Honyecomb browser is still the winner because of the quick controls. It’s frustrating trying to use Dolphin now, because when I slide my thumb onto the screen, I am only greeted with a silly side menu and no controls. I have to scroll all the way to the top of the screen for the address bar, or reach over and hit the menu button in order to bring up any controls. I was mistaken thinking Dolphin 5.0 was optimized for Tablets, but they only smoothed out the performance and didn’t really add any features for tablets. If they added the quick controls into Dolphin, I would probably switch back since this version seems to be almost as smooth, if not as smooth, as the stock browser is.

Also, flash works better on Dolphin Mini than it does on Dolphin HD.

I have tried Dolphin twice and it has failed twice to beat out xScope for me.
