It’s an awesome tablet, and the 3 extra inches are great and all, but why would you get an old Tegra 2 tablet when you can get a Nexus 7 with over twice the processing power?

I’ve had this tablet for over a year and have never regretted buying it. 230 is defenitly worth it if you want a good 10 inch tablet. Jellybean on it is just butter

And the problem with that is? It has already had 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0.3, and 4.0.4. And now is running 4.1.1. If it makes the jump to 4.2 KLP, I think it was the best investment of all tablets because none of the others out now, sans Nexus 7 and Trans Prime/Infinity, will go any farther than the XOOM. And those others are a stretch.

Dude, its doesn’t matter what it says it comes with. As soon as you boot it up and hit check for updates you’ll be prompted to install Jelly Bean.

Even IF you don’t wanna go that route it has a unlockable bootloader so you can load whatever you want on it.

They’ll send you a xoom that’s dinged up and scratched. Basically the units customers made insurance claims on. I know because I got one. Functions fine…just looks a bit shabby.

I don’t buy refurbed, so this price point really isn’t a selling point for me. On amazon I find both tablets competitively priced. As for the JB aspect… well, that’s what they make roms for. Ask my VZW Nexus. I wish I had the patience to wait for the Nexus 10. But the Nexus 7 is just too small for me and I have been waiting forever to buy a tablet. Tired of waiting.

That was my dilemma, but ultimately this price point was too good for me to pass up. I got a case and a keyboard on Amazon and the whole thing was $300. I’ve been toying around with an iPad so I figured out just how much I use it, and for multimedia it really won’t be much worse than the TF300. Granted, if you’re going for CPU, my S3 has a better one than the XOOM, you aren’t getting the newest and best.
