Except I am running ICS on my Thunderbolt as we speak, and its actually running smooth and working flawlessly despite the atrociousness that is Sense 3.6, which completely takes away the feel of ICS.
So no, no joke at all actually. ;]

I get 17 hours of battery life using it for facebook, web browsing, gtalk, google voice, four square, s-voice, and taking photos. I keep the screen on 3% and only turn on auto when I’m outside of a building. I could easily go a day and a half if I only used my phone for gtalk and google voice.

Yes, it would help it… especially against other company competition.

I just want to stick with Motorola personally. I had two LG phones before my Droid 2 Global that were good, but neither were Android smartphones. I can attest to Moto’s build quality. I have dropped my phone a bit in these past two years, not as much as most people probably, but still quite a few times(scratched and gouged corners).
My dad also has a D2G and dropped it while he was mowing at night not too long ago. Listening to music, he realized instantly what had happened. He found it shoved into the ground on the corner with the qwerty slider open dirt on the keys. Run over by a Gravely mower. Yeah, it still works fine… Go Moto!
