Received the Gnex update friday june 1st at 1150 pm (st.Louis, MO), ac, vzw, and other forums reported a lot of people just received the update as well, I think its getting pushed out in larger numbers now

I don’t care who gets it first. I dont see it as that big a deal.. What I’m glad to see is that they will be using the same release for both the gn and xoom. One step closer to defragmentation.

Did any get the soak test? I find it sketchy that a day ago, invites were set and now we have documents for the build. Oh and I did call June for the ICS update. I go on record to say now September ogXOOM wiil be eol by vzw.

I’d agree if we didn’t see benchmarks for it. They launched HC 3.1 at I/O last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if 4.1 wasn’t JB, but the benchmarks seem to indicate it is. I do think 4.1 is coming though and it will have more tablet-specific and tablet-inspired features, since they’re launching a tablet and google has stated they’re trying to be aggressive to get better penetration in the tablet market.

Also, I don’t think Google has ever launched a Nexus device without a new version of Android.

Congrats VZW Xoom owners who stayed stock. It’s a great upgrade.

But man, you VZW Xoom and Nexus owners are going to be mad when they launch Jelly Bean at Google I/O and you have to wait again. Personally, I’m steering clear of carrier-branded phones for a long, long time.
