I am not finding anything on Google. After the update, I constantly bounce between 3G and 1x, even though I live in a 4G area. When it is on 3G it just hangs and eventually goes to 1x. It has been there about 95% of the time. After doing a reset in Dec, I haven’t had any problems with my phone until the minute the update finished installing. Today I noticed that in the drop down window that my data connection is “off” even though it says 1x on the top bar. What the hell is going on? Why does HTC/Verizon insist on continually breaking my phone?

Seems like VZW could have a sign up (maybe base it on a certain number of phones per model) and see what happens. People would probably have to sign a waiver in case it “breaks” their phone… but it would put many “hands” on the project and hopefully move things along.

Which is why it’s the carrier that makes for delays, meeting FCC guidelines and having to make sure it’s 90% solid so people don’t bitch. They could at least do it faster (have more people test it by allowing those of us who want the update to test leaks with a public beta type set-up.)
