Thay talked about the Boinc for over six months. The best phone yet, one month later the RAZR comes out thay never even talked about it. If i whould have got a Bonic i whould be pissed . Same with this D 3 comes out after a lot of hipe now bang D 4 comes out. Just saying

This is absolute truth. I had a warranty repair D2 and ended up getting a D2G. I was SHOCKED when it took over a month longer to get GB.

Dude, the Nexus has a FIVE mp camera…*FIVE*. Why are you complaining about 8mp? Also I’d rather have the qHD. I’ve seen them with brightness turned up and they are not bad. Sure not as crisp as a SAMOLED phone can be, but easier to see in sunlight and people with the Nexus so far are disappointed with the screen.

But I want a physical keyboard and not a full touchscreen phone, so I can’t just buy the Nexus. I have no interest. If Google came out with a 4G QWERTY keyboard phone with no bloatware, I’d probably buy that one. As a matter of fact I’m almost sure I would.

I seriously doubt it. Unless you hang out with phone geeks like us then very few people have heard what a Nexus is. No one model of Android will ever outsell any iPhone model. As much as I hate Apple and iPhones, it just isn’t going to happen.

I totally agree with you. My friend had a broken phone and NEEDED something, that’s the only reason he went with a Droid 3. I didn’t get the Stratosphere because of the specs. This looks like a good phone and it’s obvious Motorola was going to come out with a QWERTY in a short time.

You are correct: Verizon paid for licensing rights to call their line of phones “Droid (insert name)”. The phones do exist in international markets by other names with similar or identical specs. Within the states, the Droid brand is sole property of Verizon. And it appears Motorola is happy with that partnership so they don’t have a reason ($$$) to give other carriers the same preferential treatment.
