I have been on Sprint for over 5 years and have had nothing but phenomenal reception and customer service. Not to mention that, but they CONSISTENTLY have the BEST devices, months before VZW. Take the Evo/Thunderbolt for instance. Verizon's network has frequent "hiccups", where one can receive 5 for more of a text message sent from a VZW device. And VZW rapes you on the price. I have 4 Sprint lines with unlimited text, data, and mobile to mobile calling to any mobile phone in the country for less than $200. My same plan would be 270 on VZW... Just some food for thought, for anyone sitting here slamming on Sprint.

This poll needs an option for "Switch carriers to get a Galaxy S2". I am currently an ATT customer and had my mind made up, I was going to switch to Verizon when the Galaxy S2 was released on their network. Now it looks like I'm staying with ATT. This is absurd, the only reason Verizon didn't pick up GS2 is because it would have killed Bionic(exclusive to Verizon) sales.

Your logic considering the "write in votes" is completely wrong. 90+ votes on an option that's not even listed, that requires casual voters actually read the majority of the first comment page to even vote is quite substantial--it may be the most important statistic on this poll.

Furthermore, since there was no option for "none of the above", we have to assume that an unknown portion, perhaps even a considerable portion, of voters who are considering switching providers chose the "continue waiting" option as it would have most closely matched their plans. This could easily boost that 1.5% a great deal. If you then factor in the possible number of voters that chose not to vote because there wasn't an option for them, then the numbers only increase.

The fact that, at the very least, 1.5% of dedicated Verizon users (assuming those on droid-life.com are the most dedicated) are considering leaving Verizon should be a red flag. At the end of Q4 last year Verizon Wireless claimed a little over 94 million customers. Do the math, at a minimum, if you could prove a statistical correlation between the poll here and the average user base, Verizon is looking at a loss of at least 1.4 million customers--that's nearly 500,000 more customers than they added all of last year. Now, factor in that we don't actually know who didn't vote, or who chose alternative options and that number will likely only increase.

Yes Kurt, 91 people is a big deal.

I'm done with my contract in December, so I won't have any qualms about switching to another carrier if Verizon starts messing with phone choices and messing with phone plans. I've already accepted the fact that all the US carriers are horrible and only care about money rather than what their consumers are asking for, so I will have no carrier loyalty either. I switched over to Verizon from Cingular/AT&T in 2006 and I don't mind switching to Sprint if needs be at this point and will be moving 3 lines over. Verizon's customer service has been going down hill and their pompous attitude to customers is getting under my skin.

Yup, that's exactly it. What makes wireless service important to me over all else is coverage, Sprint doesn't have it. No matter how awesome their phone selection gets, compared to VZW, they can't cut it.

It boggles me why people would switch carriers, unless they lived in an area where more than one carrier worked well. I'm with Jason, I'm never leaving Verizon so long as I still have my unlimited data.

Anyone whom is grandfathered on Verizon with unlimited data is dumb to move on. With 4G you know you'll be accessing things like Netflix, Slingbox and other datahogging sites. I will be using my Bionic in lieu of GPS which I do not have in my truck. My only wish is that I could Bluetooth my music into my music system in my truck that does have bluetooth capability. Hum,,,, does anybody know if that can be done?

You must bear in mind that this site is in essence a site that follows the Verizon line of smartphones. At least the Droid Life side of it.. which is the primary site. So of course you will notice a slight, or even heavy , bias towards Verizon. In addition to that, I frequently hear the site moderators criticize various aspects of Verizon. Furthermore, the top comment may be the most liked comment, however THAT HARDLY COUNTS AS PWNING when you are looking at 83 write in votes through "Liking" said comment, and over 6,500 votes to scoop up the Bionic or continue waiting with Verizon. Now I myself do not know what I will do as I was hoping for an LTE Galaxy S II, and hate many things Verizon has been doing, but I cannot stand ignorant trolling posts.
