I use both an iPad and Asus A500. I like both screens, but I would liken the iPad to a “sport” setting on a TV, with the Asus a “movie” setting. The iPad is very bright but seems cartoonish and does not support HD because of its 4:3 form factor. The Asus is better for videos and movies and seems more natural. Its also surprisingly good with Kindle in portrait mode. While the Asus does not have an IPS screen, its viewing angle and colors are better than any laptop I have used and I consider it to be excellent.

then change the background. i bought one yesterday from costco and it has amazing build. it has a brushed metal back and if you put the camera on daylight white balance, the camera is really nice. it has 8x zoom and 720p video stock and people have mods to make it record 1080p. not even your phone can do that. also the usb host (full sized usb) is amazing. you CAN actually use this as a small computer instead of a large smartphone like the xoom. it’s a huge difference, the usb. it makes it really useful. go check it out at costco or best buy they have working models.
