I have a Motorola Atrix 4G, I played angry birds for an hour and a half with the screen at maximum brightness, and I did about an hour of web surfing and watching YouTube videos over WiFi, and at the end of the day I have 50% battery life left. The Atrix has Tegra 2, Tegra 3 is supposed to take even less power, and produce even less heat.

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying my Xoom since it came out. I wish it would implement some of the promised features but when I buy tech, I don’t buy it for the promised upgrades. I buy it for what it can do when I buy it. If the promised features come to fruition, so much the better. (I’d like to see LTE and sd card support at some point). If I had to do it all over again, I might have chosen differently but I’m not unhappy at all with my Xoom experience.

i was thinking of doing just that. i really need a tablet now for it’s portable functionality and with the way technology for the tablets are jumping like PC tech was in the 90s, when you do buy something it becomes obsolete immediately.
purcashing the dual core xoom and skipping the next upgrade or 2 might be my plan of action… helps that xoom has become $499 for the wifi only version.

I read on BGR or another blog that theyre doing it because the tegra 2 was considered a “super chip” or something like that so they decided to go with super hero names.

Its news like this that make me happy I got my DX when I did. I will want a Bionic or DX2 but in the end it works out better since I will be able to upgrade when some of this stuff is finally hitting the market.

I want to see this in a netbook with a full keyboard, power sipping display, and a massive battery. Yes, I want it in my phone too, but in netbook form is a road travelers dream. If Windows 7 or 8 is compatible with this chipset its on.
