This is what I got from Best Buy Mobile as a response to why I got called saying my X would not be in on the 15th….Thank-you for contacting Best Buy Mobile Customer Care, my name is Victoria, and I will be happy to help you with this question. This is kinda a tricky question to answer because there are a ton of rumors flying around. I can confirm that we did postpone the release date on our end due to delays from Motorola. I can see that Verizon has not delayed the release with them directly also. One reason that makes this question tricky to answer is because Motorola has not released an exact release date. I did many searches all coming up with the same answers, that Best Buy delayed their launch, Verizon did not and Motorola hasn't confirmed a launch date. The one thing I can confirm to you is that the Best Buy Store reps that you spoke to about your pre-order were being honest with you about the delay. I think they will call you, unless of course you already had the preorder the first time around and then you SHOULD get it on launch day, from what I understand.

I have a Bold 9650 on VZW (basically a Tour) and I feel your pain with Blackberry. I've been a RIM fan-boy for almost 3 years now, and I just can't stand it anymore. Bring on Android.

I installed swype, swiftkey, HTC ime, the multi touch one from the X, and I still prefer stock (lucky me) altho they all did seem to have potential in one area or another…question: are there any customizing options available for any of these (colors, size etc?)

after reading yours, i went to BB..just front of my house that is in West Hollywood. n they said that's not true.
i think it depends on locations. ur town is small?ma BB guys said they gonnna hav lots of stocks.also they confirmed w/verizon guy in the store.i was 7th on the first round pre-orders.
somehow…good luck n i hope i wont hav the same phone call.
