Picture a cross platform Linux experience. I think that’s the main thing we’re looking forward to, or even more, a unified ecosystem across phone/tablet/pc/etc.

HTC is doing its own event for HTC One, nothing to do with Ubuntu. HTC are unaware of anything happening with Ubuntu today. Unfortunately for us fans, Ubuntu is just an irrelevance and an unkown in the cell phone industry these rumors are just going to make the Ubuntu news disappointing as people are now expecting a credible link where there is none.

Techies are excited, the average consumer doesn’t even know what Ubuntu is. I know my brother is excited about Ubuntu, all I know is that it is a linux based os, and I don’t really know but will find out tomorrow on why this is good or bad or great.
