I’m not sure why you would be. I’m a firefighter/paramedic and aside from the brief delay in most so a great job. All they do is multicast a radio frequency over ip.

In Scanner Radio’s case the feeds are provided by people who have actual hardware scanners and are just streaming that to sites like RadioReference.com, So there is value, you’re paying $0.99 to listen to something while someone else paid the hundered’s of dollars for the hardware.

Even if there is a small chance that it works, it seems worth it. Not that you should speed everywhere, but it could be useful if you happen to be speeding and see it go off. Although I know nothing about these kind of apps.

I use Scanner Radio when I’m sick of sports talk and it works pretty well. I don’t have a real scanner to compare it to but I get to hear a lot of chatter
