Exactly. There is no viable option for me at the moment. If I had a Nexus 4 in my hands ID already be gone. Also those locked into a contract can’t leave, so non payment is not really an option.

You need to side-load the apk file to an SD card and then install it…also need to find a compatible version of wallet. Usually need to be rooted as well.

Pretty much, this. Verizon is extremely proud of their wireless network, as they should be. I’m rather appalled by their current business tactics (Share Everything needs to die an especially painful death), but their technology on the ground is top-notch.

I agree – I’m just replying to the utter wave of ignorance people tend to lean on when they default bad-mouth VZW. I know they are no saint, and it can get pricey, but to maintain the network and have little to no major issues is quite a feat being the company that they are.

There are areas in my city where T-Mobile HSPA+42 is faster than Verizon LTE, and vice versa. I’m not talking low speeds, either. There are areas where Verizon is 20Mbps+ download and T-Mobile 5Mbps, and areas where T-Mo is 20Mbps+ and Verizon 5Mbps. LTE-A will trump HSPA+42, but regular LTE is on par given similar signal strength and network congestion.

I just gave VZW the boot. Got my Nexus 4 and said see ya! I’m in the D.C. area, and T-mobile here is fast (and cheap)! I’m using pre-paid. If I go out of the area, I can just switch to my AT&T compatible sim.
