My “rainy days” storm tracking app has always used google maps with its weather radar to track live storms all over the globe using the Google maps since early 2010

It’s funny that on some other sites I’ve visited the apple iDiots are saying “oh, you have vector maps like apple now”, when in reality Google has had vector maps for a while. What they fail to notice is that Google is opening this up to their Devs to play with. I’m betting these are the same people that think the noise cancelling mic is a revolutionary feature as well…
