I just downloaded the new ADW launcher for the nexus 7. This launcher is insane, I don’t know what to do with all my options! I am a big Nova launcher user but this new set up may be making me switch over.

It looks really good. I’m just not sure why I should want to use it over Nova or Apex or any of the other launchers that have shown up (and been updated) since ICS showed up.

Same here I just couldn’t wait any longer. After that I won’t purchase another app from that developer since they don’t keep things moving forward.

I really think it is the choice of processor. TI OMAP processors on Android have always, in my experience, not been nearly as smooth as other offerings with some applications.

As for the N4, I won’t miss it that much considering it has way too little internal storage. The photo-sphere will likely come to the Galaxy Nexus at some point. Also when it is released to AOSP, I am sure it will find its way into other JB custom ROMs as well, so at least some of the phones on VZW will get it. There are also apps that do the same thing already though.

Weird — had been using Nova on my rooted tbolt (Nova comes default with the liquid ICS ROM I’m running) and the newest ADW EX is now my default, preferred launcher. Smooth as anything I’ve used lately on my thunderbolt. And man, I feel like a dinosaur still using this tbolt!

ADW EX will help me keep it on life support until I decide if I want to take it on the chin buy a phone for full retail (note 2?) to keep unlimited data on VZ or take it on the chin from a network perspective and go to tmobile or sprint.

Really stinks that the N4 and that awesome 360-panorama camera isn’t coming to VZ.

Best tech news of the week for me personally. I just updated my GS3 to JB with Sprint and Nova Prime seems to struggle badly. It can’t add more than a single widget before force closing to add another widget, and the laginess is unbelievable. Hopefully ADW brings the smooth quickness I used to love about the launcher.

No auto-folder creation by drag-drop icon on another! Boo! Show stopper for me. Sticking with Nova! Played with ADW a little, but other than lack of above, didn’t see any reason to switch from Nova.

Dont know about you guys but I dont see anything cool about nova or apex launcher, I prefer adw over them any day.

TI OMAP processors have always been plagued with this symptom on Android in my experience. On the Nexus it seems that Nova was optimized for it and it works flawlessly. Apex would be about 90% as smooth as Nova and ADW, at least in its currentform, would be about a 30%. It really is that bad on the Galaxy Nexus. Maybe the developer will get it sorted out soon. Some of the new features look appealing.

I too picky – I want my ‘main’ home screen clean (same with my PC desktop). Minimalist clock and nothing else but the Apex Dock.

On my Charge (yes, feel sorry for me), I’m really digging the update. Things are moving very smooth. Gotta play around with it some more today; but so far, so good. For years I was Go, then got annoyed with all the ‘Go’ stuff.. Tried Halo but that really lagged for me.
