Contest: Win a Kindle Fire HD 7″ From DL and xScope Browser (Updated: Winner Picked)

Since today is release day for the brand new Kindle Fire HD 7″, we have partnered with xScope browser to give one away to a DL community member!

For those new to the game, you may not have heard of xScope. But trust me when I say that when Android was first getting its start, this was our go-to 3rd party browser. It had some incredibly innovative features like single finger pinch-to-zoom, but was also light and fast enough that few could compete with it. Over the last month or so, Gary (the developer) released a new version with Holo styling, more gestures (including the single finger zoom), and one of the more robust browsing experiences around. Definitely check it out.

Update:  Our winner has been chosen! Josh says that his favorite browser is the stock browser because he can’t run Chrome on his original DROID X. Congrats to Josh! Unfortunately, he still won’t be able to run Chrome on his Kindle Fire HD either.

Prize:  One (1) Kindle Fire HD 7″

How to enter:

1.  In the comments, tell us what your favorite Android browser is and why. Specific feature you like?
2.  Feel free to follow us on Google+ as well.
3.  U.S. residents only.

On Monday morning at 9:00AM PT, we will choose a winner randomly from the comments.

Good luck!

Wait they updated xScope? With Holo styling? I was going to say Chrome, but since xScope might be back in the action I’m going to give it another try! I loved using it on my Droid Incredible when it was hot stuff, but to hear it’s back I gotta try it again!

  • Chanmannn

chrome because it’s sweet and simple. the UX is easy to navigate through all features which gives it a extremely user friendly feel for even the dumbest computer illiterate; however, the browser is feature rich and provides syncing between desktops, laptops, and tablets.

  • Desktop-like browsing with Chrome is awsome!

  • Dolphin Browser is my favorite simply for the fact that is had never crashed on me, supports flash and has an option to change the user agent.

  • shubhankar

Chrome is the best for daily usage as it has the power of Google but if anybody is wanting a better browser which would show more content by that I mean better code to be decompressed I would suggest Firefox

  • tiptoptommy

I love chrome because its quick

  • I still like Chrome probably more because I resist change than anything else and it has never crashed on me.

  • moccor

Google Chrome, because it syncs all my bookmarks and open pages.

  • Cody Bishop

gotta go with chrome. i keep way too many tabs open everywhere and i can sync that horrible addiction all over the place.

  • Matthew Stout

Chrome, its smooth syncs with all my wireless devices and pc’s. Its the browser Google should have packaged with Android from the start.

  • Byron Galvez

Chrome, because I like the shared links between PC and mobile

  • technomandfw

I like Stock, chrome, but mostly Dolphin. Just has more features.

  • A. Chan

I find the Dolphin browser very stable and responsive. Its access to bookmarks and add-ons is a joy to use.

  • Chrome, because I like the shared links between PC and mobile

  • Chrome – because it syncs with my desktop and tablet

  • firefox because i can personalise the browser with features i like

  • Chrome hands-down for me. The tab switching system is fantastic and I love that tabs and bookmarks synce between my laptop and my phone, so I don’t have to clutter up my mobile bookmarks with a bunch of links I MIGHT occasionally use. Chrome FTW

  • Chrome is definitely my favorite because i can sync my tabs across all platforms!

  • adam

dolphin browser hd, because it does not crash it is very fast

  • Chrome My tabs and book mark sync.

  • unbr8kablebond

My favorite is Google Chrome! Chrome is great because it syncs your bookmarks and most visited sites with each device. If i go to droid life mostly from my phone, its saved for easy viewing on both my tablet and home pc! Chrome rocks on computers because it gives you the most viewing area and optimized for speed!

  • abqnm

I actually really like the stock JB browser. Quick controls are great and it renders everything.

  • quiklives

I feel repetitive after reading through the comments, but it’s Chrome for me too, with the ability to sync between computer, tablet and phone, and because it feels more intuitive than anything else I’ve used.

  • Chrome for Android. I hate that it doesn’t have flash but it’s worth it to have tabs sync from desktop. If only extensions could be made lightweight for phones.

  • Lawrence

Chrome. Due to its speed and tab sync across multiple devices.

  • so far it’s chrome, loads fast and love being able to sync my bookmarks.

  • I use chrome since I can sync it with my chrome browser from my desktop

  • Anthony

Google Chrome. I like it syncing with my desktop browser. Used to use xscope however.

  • guitarshredder87

My favorite browser is the stock ICS/Jelly Bean browser. It launches the quickest and I’m an huge fan of the built in “quick controls” option. This is the only feature that has prevente me from sswitching to Chrome.

  • zial

I’ve used Dolphin in the past, but I’m sorry to say, off the top of my head, I’m not sure what my phone is running now. It does what I need it to do, when I need it, which is what really matters.

  • kylebrodeur

I’ve tried xScope, they had a lot of great features but I’m currently hooked on Chrome. Easy Tabs and sharing between all devices.

  • mpledzeppelin2

For my nexus 7 chrome the tabs are nice. For my gnex I like the stock browser because of the labs features where you have quick access by clicking the edge of the screen

  • I like Chrome because it’s got the handy open tabs thing and the ability to sync with desktop.

  • Firefox, because Chrome won’t install on my stupid phone!

  • alex

Aurora (Firefox alpha) because it’s the one that renders pages faster on my device. I have noticed that on some browsers you cannot scroll down the Page if it hasn’t been completely downloaded (or most of it). I’ll try xScope now.

  • Dolphin browser hd because of its gesture feature and the add-ons. But anything i can get use to get my daily fix of DroidLife is fine with me!!!

  • michael arazan

Chrome Browser can’t be beat for the Fastest on My Gnex!!!!!!!! Followed you on G+ since you first signed on.

  • Rachel Parker

I like Chrome it syncs with my computer.

  • Bunnymuffin

Google Chrome all the way, I like the ease of syncing.

  • mrspethel

I like chrome the best so far. It keeps its tabs better than my PC does. I also love how it zooms in when you click a link that is very close to another link to make sure you’ve hit the right one.saved me tins of frustration going to the wrong link.

  • Firefox for the time being, I can get it to work with Flash through a work-around!

  • anon

Dolphin Browser HD – it’s Webzine feature.

  • I like Chrome, I’ll like it even better when all the bugs are worked out.

  • Andrew Brown

Chrome. I love it simply because of the integration with the desktop version.

  • theblakjak

    chrome is great tabs ftw!

  • Alex Layton

Dolphin HD. Nice, clean interface and easy to use.

  • I might be a nut, but I prefer the stock browser on my RAZR. It’s just simple and seems clean. Nothing extremely special about the stock browser, only that it’s feels light and fast.

  • Chrome all the way. Syncing tabs it pure epicness.

  • I’ve come to the point (and age) in my life where the only way to get “Mister Happy” take an interest in anything is to enter a give away for a tablet. God only knows if I would survive winning one!

  • RelentlessPace

Dolphin Browser, because it lets me share my filthy laptop habit on my phone (having a gazillion tabs open all at once).
