I had no idea the 4g lte towers were not up when I bought my galaxy s3. I should have waited, my htc 4g ran circles around this galaxy s 3 on 3g… now you don’t even see Saint Louis on the map to be upgraded. Next upgrade I’m switching. Who cares about unlimited if youcan’t use it for what you need it for

Like MustWarnOthers said Sprint’s LTE is on 1900 and they just got clearance to change their iDEN network at the 800 spectrum and repurpose it for LTE. WiMax runs at 2.5GHZ. Regardless the 1900 LTE and 2.5GHZ WiMax both suck for building penetration (lol).

I was driving through Ann Arbor this past weekend (I’m moving to Flint) and I decided to try a speed test on Verizon. I got an impressive 32 Mbps, and during the entire trip I never dropped below 25 Mbps while I was in Flint either. My speeds in PA never even go above 20 Mbps.

You may actually be onto something there. It wouldn’t be surprising to see a cell company do that, so that they could use it as a marketing tactic. “We have ### cities lit up now!”

It’s 1900 MHz not 2500, it will probably be slightly better than WiMAX plus smoother tower to tower transition, heard WiMAX was horrible with that.

How the Hell are more places in Puerto Rico getting Spring LTE service than places like Pennsylvania? Were they just looking for the cheapest towers that could add LTE equipment to? Sprint never ceases to amaze me!
