Hey — don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it. I’ll be 50 in two days (augh!!!) and I have to say this is the only phone I can read without my glasses. So, when I’m driving to my New York art studio, I don’t have to grab my reading glasses to see who’s calling. And, I use it to scribble artwork ideas right there in front of clients; they love it! It’s not available on AT&T but it does run on 4GLTE and it’s pretty darn fast. I’m happy (enough). i just use Bluetooth, by the way.

Call me crazy but as a graphics designer I love the thought of the 4:3 screen. Great for viewing my graphics design work one final time before sending to clients. AT&T just put 4G LTE here in Atlanta several months ago but doesn’t carry the Intuition. Maybe in another six months…

I’ve had a Droid X with the wider screen aspect ratio for almost two years now, and I just switched to this device, mainly because of the 4×3 aspect ratio. And I’m much happier with it. I use it mainly for email and web browsing (not watching movies), so the squarer aspect ratio is actually a plus. And it fits in my hand and pocket just fine. When I use the phone, I use a bluetooth earpiece, so the size doesn’t matter. (Yes, it is huge and looks funny if you hold it up to your head!) It’s basically a small tablet. Obviously, if your main use is watching video, or you don’t like earpieces, don’t get it. But for web, email, texting, etc., it’s great! Seriously, no negatives yet. (I don’t have experience with LG so can’t speak about support, slow updates, etc.) As far as comparing it to the Note 2 — that isn’t out yet, and may not be on Verizon. If it is and you can wait and you like wide screen, I’m sure it’ll be a better device. But this one is perfect for how I use it.

i bought this and its so big its useless as a phone so now i just use it as a figleaf to cover my package when im in public

I just played with one of these in a Verizon store and, unsurprisingly, it was awful. I knew the 4:3 aspect ratio would be weird, but I didn’t know it would be that bad. I have no idea how this is expected to compete with the Galaxy Note II. I really can’t see anyone buying this thing, even if they have no idea what they’re doing… the size and shape of it are just so strange and inconvenient. LG failed super hard on this one.

The device doesn’t even have a slot for the pen…so you have to carry that around with you as well has the phone…what was LG thinking and what were they “black mailing” Verizon with to make them carry such a POS???
