You have to do a “long press” on the item that you want to find. Then a fill-in textbook will appear. Unfortunately, I can’t do a “long press” for this purpose on a piece of text that provides a link to another page. This means that there are many items that you can’t do a long-press on. So this seems to be a backwards step for Dolphin.

Opera Mobile. Fast, stable, excellent compatibility. Nice feature set, including Flash. I might give Dolphin another try based on this upgrade and review.

Dolphin: the browser for people who don’t want to switch between THREE GODAMN BROWSERS.

Also, gestures ROCK — no more navigating menus. I have — P for…. Private … mode, and D for Destop mode, and Arrow Left and Right for switching tabs, and I use it all the time. Its saved me a lot of time.

Chrome also needs the accessability mode that inverts colors. This is great for nighttime reading.

Give XScope another look. It has been favorably reviewed in DL before. They have released a version for tablets. It runs flash. It does the job simpy and well. (It could use better bookmark organization.) XScope has better more intuitive navigation than Dolphin. Many times I have used my back button in Dolphin hoping to reach the previously viewed page, only to find that I have left the browser completely. XScope allows this function and includes forward and back buttons. Long press of menu button accesses rest of functions. Easy layout.

I am anxiously awaiting Chrome for Android to come out of beta and hit all versions of Android. (Gingerbread at the very least). Until then, stock.

Does Chrome still not have the option to load the desktop version of pages? That’s still a dealbreaker for me. The syncing of bookmarks and tabs and stuff is useless for me in terms of my needs/uses, I’m not a fan of the Chrome browser in general on desktops. I could see how that feature would appeal to others though.

Anyway i use Quick ICS browser, love the customizable Quick Controls

I agree that quick controls are great except for the fact that sometimes when you try to touch a link that’s positioned right where they activate, it sucks. Take the good with the bad I guess.
