Exactly. The first thing I thought was “What the hell is up with that door on there?” Kind of like the Motorola Atrix laptop accessory, why does the phone have to stick out of the back of it? Make the phone dock into the front and double as an info screen and gesture/touchpad.

I’ve been going to their website where they have a wed page showing it off since last June waiting for this thing to come out and what carrier it would come to, but almost a year later and its still not out yet.
I’m afraid by the time it comes out its going to be like the Bionic fiasco and they’ll have to update all the hardware to play catch up with the newer chip sets and technology. It’s exactly what I want, to magnify everything I do with my phone but all in one.
What would be nice if they made a universal tablet that would allow a number of different phones to be put in the back of them with a little slide adjuster to keep the phone from sliding around and all you would have to do is buy the plug that matches your phone and connects to the tablet device that you put it into.

moto’s lapdock 500 is better. 14 inch hd sceen. full desktop full keyboard with a row of android keys . do things on you phone,desktop same time.no teather charge. the price isnt that bad. everything is powered by phone so every time you upgrade your phone,your lapdock is that much better.
