I did the same thing. I traded in my DX2 after a few days due to major issues. Picked up the TBolt precisely BECAUSE I knew if I had issues, I'd be able to flash a different ROM to it. Thank god for that, because shortly after, the official update came out and caused the reboot issue. I flashed CM7 and it was an awesome phone for me until the Nexus came out. Passed it on to my wife who was using a D2. She loves it, even restored to "stock" Sense now that it has become stable. I really hope for her sake they decide to release an official ICS for it.

I'm another jackass with the Nexus I guess. Actually although most of us bought the Nexus specifically to "dick around" with it, the real forgotten thing in this whole deal is that the Nexus is probably the FIRST Android phone that you really don't have to dick around with in order to get it to work right. It's the closest thing to an Android phone for iPhone users you can find right now. ICS is totally killer.

Amen, brother. I had a Thunderbolt and really really liked it, once I was able to get a stable CM7 on it. The updates for reboot took forever, so I was glad the bootloader was able to be unlocked. That said, I also picked up a Nexus because I NEVER want to be reliant upon the manufacturer for support ever again. HTC and Verizon pushed the Thunderbolt ad nauseum as the killer phone. Verizon has even offered it recently on television now as a great 4G discounted phone. But HTC has treated it like the red headed stepchild and I don't think I'll be buying any more HTC phones after this. It's Google-only phones for me going forward.

Curious about something. What does ICS do so different from latest gingerbread version that people are so anxious to have it on their phone. I tried the Galaxy Nexus and I just don't see anything that fascinate me. All in all, both version does the same thing. It is just the interface. For me what is really important is call quality and connectivity. I am a first time Sense user and so far I really enjoy HTC sense. Their icons and interface are colorful and visually appealing. Web browsing is great with no problem. I honestly don't know if I should install the update once the update comes in. I hope there is an option for it. Sometimes updates and new version is not always a good thing. Like using Office 2007 over Office 2003. I rather use the old office version. It is easier and gets the same job done

With the S getting it, wouldn't that mean rom makers could then just port over the builds to the INC2? I'm not sure how any of that works, but with the S at least getting it, it seems a lot more hopeful for a working ICS build than if the S wasn't getting anything. I mean we already have working ICS on it, but buggy stuff like the camera could get ironed out. Hopefully :D

I still think the N1 was one of the sexiest looking phones ever released. HTC has a pretty awesome sense of aesthetics but you're right...they really need to kill off sense or really, really scale it back like Moto did with Blur.
