The “normal consumers” don’t only buy the Droid branded phones. I’m also a Android Fanboy and stay up to date with all of the Android news. Just because it may have a retarded ad doesn’t mean it’s not a great phone.

DROID 4 will launch with ICS..I think….

Reasons:
1.No slider yet with ICS
2.No DROID with ICS
3.RAZR was released recently,hence delaying DROID 4 makes sense.

Most of the young & stupid that are more likely to run up the bill with stupid stuff prefer not to have keyboards. At least with my nephew and his friends. I prefer a phsycial keyboard because the touchscreen just isn’t good enough. I can deal with the virtual keyboard with Iphone/Ipad but not android phones. Plus I like having the actual screen real estate available and not hogged up by the virtual qwerty.

I get kicked out of 3g once in awhile for 5-10 minutes at a time and get knocked down to 1xRTT (2g). Internet on my phone is only fast when I’m at or near the mall.

If the Stratosphere was a GSII phone instead of GS it would have kicked the D4′s ass… but, oh well… I am still happy with my 1Ghz and 512MB RAM and unlocked-from-the-factory bootloader.

I would like Moto to have done some hardware changes as well. At least a more refined camera; HTC seems to have made this a point on selling the Rezound and Samsung SGII have great cameras. The Nexus was a bit of a let down, even with the instant shutter, I want more to replace a point and shoot.
I was hoping for a more than incremental jump with the D4. I didn’t want the D3, b/c I was waiting for a dual-core, 1gb RAM, slider with 4G to make it more “future proof.” Hardware wise it is competitive with the Nexus. It has BT4.0 over the GN, and you can always get a NFC SD card.

……just waiting ICS and unlocked bootloaders. Maybe that “4″ in the eye means 4 ever waiting. Lol

Coming from a LG Voyager, I got the OG Droid because of the physical keyboard on the device. I tried several phones onscreen keyboard and didn’t like it. I went ahead and got the OG Droid and when all was said and done I ended up using the physical keyboard just for one/two games just to press one single key on the OG Droid. I ended up using the onscreen keyboard over the physical keyboard. I Type faster on the onscreen and now with a better keyboard I type with alot less mistakes. Now I have the G-Nexus and I’m loving the upgrade. The keys are more spaced out and are biger thanks to the 4.65″ screen
