When I saw that Amazon had opened pre-orders for the 64GB version again, I placed an order with them, as well as leaving my original pre-order at TigerDirect. When I checked my Amazon order tonight, there was still no shipping date specified. However, the Champagne 64GB is now back on email notification and Amazon is not letting it be placed in the order cart. So, I guess they filled all open slots.

If it’s okay, I will believe it when I see a shipping notice on my order. Asus has really made a mess of the situation. They need to fire whomever is in charge of logistics.

64GB models are being shipped to the resellers this week and orders will be filled next week. The rumors are false about 64GB models not being available until Q2 2012.

Nope.. on my UPS tracking page it just says that a label has been created and as soon as it arrives to their warehouse the shipping info and estimated delivery will be set. So apparently they (bestbuy) have it, but UPS just needs to pick it up and take it back to their warehouse, process it and ship it out.

I like it a lot. I sold my TF101 a couple months ago, so I’ve been missing having a tablet. I need to figure out the best way to play 720p MKVs on it (the performance is unsurprisingly way better than the TF101, but it’s still not ideal).

The hardware’s great, and I’m waiting for ICS so the package will be complete. There was a system update when I first turned it on, but no surprise of that magnitude from Asus.
