FWIW, this is an email from my Verizon guy this morning ” I just spoke to one of my district managers, he told me that the launch date for the Nexus maybe pushed out to the end of the month or beginning of next.” AS ALWAYS, take this for what it is….something said by a rep in a store.

At least you people have VZW’s around you that have even the slightest bit of information. I called my local store last week and the guy almost didn’t even know what the nexus was, i call tonight and “They don’t have a launch date set.”

I’ve got you all beat… I’ve been waiting to upgrade since March. I was waiting for the Galaxy S2 but Verizon didn’t even pick it up, when I heard about the GNex I figured it would be better to wait, I figured I’ve waited nine months what’s another week? but at this rate other carriers will announce havingit before Verizon even gives a solid release date… If that happens I will gladly jump ship because my patience is beyond non-existent…

I don’t follow it on twitter and I’m frothing at the mouth to get this phone. I know it’s the best out there, and I will wait patiently for its release. And, yes, you should leave T-Mobile. Verizon, as horrible as they’re being about this release, has great network coverage, great customer service, and, with the release of this phone, the best device on the market.

I heard some people had luck buying accessories through VZW telesales, you can try that. I bought the Living Social deal too and may end up doing that, but if the phone is released after the 31st, I may just change my mind on the GNex and not get the damn phone at all.

If you find the right store they will sell it to you. I found a Radio Shack that was willing to sell it to me this past Saturday, but I couldn’t buy it there since they don’t do early upgrades, it either has to be a full 2 year upgrade, new line add-on, or a new 2 year contract.

It turns out the only place I can get the GNex for $299.99 is at a VZW corporate store, VZW telesales, or VZW online because of the early upgrade.

It sucks because the Radio Shack employee brought the phone out and was all ready to set me up until we discovered what I just mentioned about the upgrade situation……all I could do was touch the box……lol

Oh well, I guess I have to wait like everyone else (excepet those who were lucky enough to get it).

That’s just dumb, bro. The Razr isn’t even worth briefly owning. Blur is an abortion, and an encrypted bootloader is unacceptable. As someone who truly appreciates Android’s open spirit, I refuse to even throw a dime in Motorola’s direction until they unlock their bootloaders.

Because the Nexus is a big release, how many thousands of android fans do you thing have been following this thing for months. Even without the mainstream public purchasing the phones, the android nerds that buy it WILL be putting a lot of strain on the network. I don’t want to buy my brand new Nexus 4G phone expecting to rock DL and UL speeds only to watch as the 4G network comes crashing down around me. They are still selling other 4G devices because none are really high demand releases that will cause a ton more strain on the network.

You’re not feeding anything but waste. What a total crap post and I don’t believe a word of it. You like to see your screen name on the internet. Save the talking out of your ass for whatever acquaintances you know who are nice enough to pretend to tolerate you.

This is VZW being assholes. This behavior cost them the original iPhone. They make a killing from $1,000s of dollars coming in from 2 year contracts in exchange for a few hundred dollars. But that isn’t enough for them. Until iPhone, the crippled the capabilities of phones that their customers had already paid for, so VZW could charge them again to use those phones’ capabilities? GPS on a phone. Check, but VZW would disable it and make you buy their VZNavigator service.

Everyone knew Google Wallet was part of ICS back in the concept stages. VZW agreed, then, when Samsung spent millions manufacturing and distributing the phone, VZW pulls this crybaby I-want-it-both-ways tantrum. Any first year contracts student would have a field day with issue-spotting this. Google, VZW obviously doesn’t care about its customers. It’s time for you and Samsung to use your combined clout and the political influence Google has spent tons of cash buying to publicize VZW’s anti-competitve behavior. If VZW and the industry’s crap payment system is so great, put it head to head against Google Wallet. If you don’t want to compete with Google Wallet, don’t tell everyone you’re accepting a Nexus phone. I am glad I’m out of contract w Verizon. Their service is great but that’s due to their taking over from NYNEX and big ass ma bells. It’s like a president’s daughter or trust fund kid’s telling herself and anyone who will listen that she made it to Stanford, Wall St and the networks because of talent and hard work.

I for one cant wait for a Moto Nexus phone, Fingers crossed for a quad core Nexus next year now that is something i would buy off contract in a heartbeat.
