The free apps on the Amazon App Store are great.. but I’d almost rather buy them on the Android Market just so I get the updates ASAP rather than waiting it out.

Seems the Amazon part is a common thread among ALL apps I’ve gotten via “free” days – with sometimes more than two weeks of lag between seeing an updated version appear on Android market and finally showing up on Amazon. Kind of BS…but I guess I’m getting what I paid for.

This, folks, is why I would want nothing to do with a Kindle Fire (in stock form, at least). No Google Apps, no market, no Google Maps, no Gmail client and the apps that are available on Amazon may never see an update. Everytime an Angry Birds update is released, I get annoyed all over again that the people who “support” Rovio by buying their stuff on Amazon have to wait longer to get the new levels.
