I have to show some appreciation to this writer just for rescuing me from this particular incident. As a result of researching through the world wide web and obtaining basics which were not pleasant, I assumed my life was done. Living minus the approaches to the difficulties you have solved through this short post is a serious case, as well as the kind that might have adversely affected my career if I had not noticed your blog. Your good natural talent and kindness in maneuvering every part was important. I'm not sure what I would have done if I had not encountered such a solution like this. I am able to at this time look ahead to my future. Thanks for your time very much for this professional and amazing guide. I will not hesitate to recommend your site to anyone who requires care about this topic.

I've been running this update for 3 days or so now (since the SBF leaked) and I have to admit that for the first time EVER, I finally consider my X2 a fully usable device:

-It is now much faster to boot up. Phone shuts down faster now as well
-NO random reboots at all since I installed 2.3.4
-Camera app is much more stable. They FINALLY fixed the flash/shutter sync bug that has plagued the X2 since its release. I'd say my X2 is still a bit worse than my old X2 in low-light conditions but the camera is finally (mostly) usable now. Video capture is also quite a bit smoother. I still have an occaional hiccup in 720p recording even to a fast card. Also, I still get an occasional lockup when taking still shots. Moto enlarged the onscreen shutter buttons in this update as well.
-3G signal still random drops on occasional, though it's not as bad as it was on 2.3.3. It usually happens when I disconnect from wi-fi. Toggling Airplane mode on and off usually fixes it.
-Reception is MUCH better. I tested it in a friend's windowless basement the other day and my X2 usually got 1 bar there and was often without a signal at all. Now I get a solid 1-2 bars consistently.
-Screen unlock swipe is much smoother.
-Battery life, after I rerooted and calibrated the battery, is as good as it was under Froyo, which is to say it's now a tad better under 2.3.4 than it was before under 2.3.3.
-The Moto news widget no longer fails to update with new stories
-Contacts and Task manager have new icons
-The keyboard lag is still present but not as frequent or as bad as it was before. The bug where the phone would get stuck with the keyboard up and would require a reboot has thankfully been fixed from what I've seen.
-3G data speeds seem to be a tad faster than they were before and the phone isn't running as hot in marginal areas.
-Audio stuttering problem is still present but greatly minimized. I can definitely live with it now.
-RAM management seems better now too. I have picked up ~15 or 20 more MB free with the same appload as I had under 2.3.3

Overall, this update still has a few minor bugs (mainly audio pauses and the flaky camera) but it's a huge improvement over 2.3.3. I encourage everyone to go ahead and install the SBF if you feel up to it, as the OTA official update looks to be an identical build.
