  • I wonder if it will fix the charger bug, requiring you to reboot every time you pull it off the charger so it will “sleep” and conserve the battery.

  • Eagerly awaiting the new OTA. No random reboot issues here, however I do get the stuttering audio playback issue. And the Media engine tends to crash every now and then especially when watching YouTube vids. Here’s hoping to a lot of bug fixes  🙂

  • I only really tend to see soak tests when theirs massive changes…not sayin this can’t just be a bug fix but usually its a pretty big change when they do soak tests.

However….I also havn’t seen much DX2 love here on DL….such as leaks and whatnot… Like if it WAS the 3D Blur you would think we would have seen it already…

  • They need to fix the reception my og droid x had way better reception in buildings and up by my cabin

  • I’m a little paranoid this *might* fix root exploits/init.d/2-init. So I think I’ll wait this time.

  • can anyone help me i installed the ota update manually for my droid 3 and now when i connect it to a computer, and i have tried 3 different ones, it doesnt connect. it only charges. i have no way of changing the usb options because nothing pops up in my notification bar. it’s acting like im just plugging it into the wall

    • ICS would be sweet but it’s highly unlikely, given the preference for TI OMAP CPUs for ICS (since Tegra2 got all the Honeycomb love earlier this year).  Also, I still feel the X2 is sort of the red-headed stepchild in the current VZW lineup and they will probably put it to pasture sooner than usual.

Anyway, they DESPERATELY need to address the X2’s random rebooting, random 3G disconnects, and the horribly inconsistent camera image quality (flash is usually out of sync with the shutter etc)

In the “nice to have” category would be the D3/Bionic-style 3D Blur 2.3.4 and the new camera app.  1080p video recording would be nice but it probably won’t happen.  Same goes for improved memory management.

Also, the newer Gallery app (the one that shows pics from social networking sites) is horrible, but as long as we have QuickPic I don’t care about the stock app.
