I’ve been hearing 3.5 will be a lighter version due to all the negative feedback 3.0 got due to being so slow.

I don’t know much about the different CPU’s but do any/all of them perform pipelining? That way CPI wouldn’t be much of a factor if scheduling was set up right.

i saw that this weekend. a drunk verizon rep showed me at a football tailgate. it has “property of motorola..” blah blah etched in the glass. it looked awesome. it was incredibly lightweight and thin. he confirmed it was a 1.2 ghz processor running gingerbread. i don’t know why they would settle for 1.2 ghz, perhaps to make it thin. but i was gonna get the vigor/tbolt2/rezound but I’m waiting to get more info on this. he didn’t know the release date but he did say q4 2011 so I’m guessing it will come out for the holidays

Haha yeah good point. Not sure why I said Droid 1. I meant Droid X. I use my Droid 1 nearly every day, so I better know it is a 5MP. lol Either way, that sensor was not much better than the 8MP they use now. And the camera software is still crap. The best smartphone camera I have ever had though was the 3.2MP cam in the Blackberry Tour 9630. Yeah it wasn’t the highest resolution, but damn, did it take very nice pictures, even in low light. If Moto could get a camera that took pictures like that… Heck the LG Dare from a few years ago with its 3.2MP was better quality, but that was actually a very nice camera on a feature phone.

YAY! Another phone with all the specifications I want and NO PHYSICAL KEYBOARD. I’m starting to think that I’m the only one that can type 3x as fast on the physical keyboard (and I even have SwipeKey installed). I know Kellex made a reference to this in his DROID 3 review.

I totally agree, I was so disappointed when the Droid3 was only 3G. I might very well wait until they come out with a Droid4 before upgrading my OG Droid.
