It’s all apps, paid or unpaid. I bought Angry Birds “Premium” and after the insidious Amazon app store kept popping up on my notifications bar, I happily deleted it. Now, the Angry Birds app I paid for no longer works. I get the same pop up message from Amazon you see above. But I have learned my lesson, I’m never purchasing anything from the Amazon app store again.

To hell with Amazon Appstore. It crash my phone oh so often. Had to restart multiple times each time it crashes, before the phone work ok again. Uninstall the Appstore, everything is back to working fine, but all apps free and purchased through Amazone Appstore stop working, with that exact message.
I would never buy from Amazon again. Google app store is just fine now.

The real problem is that using the Amazon Appstore requires you to disable the security feature that blocks 3rd party apps. While Amazon and the Android Market might protect users from malicious apps, there are scams out there are blocked from installing by having the “Unknown sources” box unchecked.

I love and hate the amazon app store. First Love.. On my Moment i have downloaded AB and AB Season from the Market (google) and each time I might get a month out of it before it crashes and burns or the new update comes out and I cant play it.. Loaded Rio from Amazon and the picture quality and game are perfect. No more White boxes, no more slowness I love it!

Now my Con Got a game rollerball and it doesnt work. wont go past the first page just skips and I have a screen like if I was watching an old film.. So now I have an app that I have looked everywhere to uninstall and guess what… I must be missing it.. But I cant find anywhere to uninstall it..

Atleast at the market if I go to my download tab and I click on the game or app I can just from there click uninstall.. Amazon must be hiding that from me.. lol Anyone know how to do it?

This isn’t about getting Angry Birds for free. This is about requiring an app to call home in order to be useable. Sure, this may be tolerable with free apps but what about ones that people actually pay for with their own money or via ads? What happens to them when the appstore flops and Amazon decides to scrap it? What happens when the user decides to cancel their data plan? I’m all for giving devs the tools to protect their apps but phone home DRM is unaccepable. I’m ashamed to be part of the same species as individuals that feel otherwise. The world will be an idiocracy soon enough.

If you are using an sd card other than the one that came with the phone that may be the problem, I came to the DX from Moto Droid and use my 16gig sd card … that is where I have pinpointed my problem but the solution to use the 2 gig card instead defeats the point of me having a 16gig card so … no solution yet, any takers?
