I get to rooting device step #5 and then nothing. No superuser or anything….Anyone?

I also had my installation hang at “Waiting for device”. However, when I turned my phone off and then on again WAS NOT rooted. Any ideas?

SuperOneClick v.1.9.0.0
Computer: Windows XP sp3
Phone: Droid 2, running 2.2

Gets as far as running the ADB server on port 5037.

just what they said above!! do exactly as he says and it will get past getting mount path. it rooted it perfectly with no probs whatsoever

this method worked for my Moto Droid I, dunno why I never thought of that, thank you Also for some of you you may want to get the drivers for your phone from the motorola website as mine didn’t get past the first step before installing those either.

I have USB debugging turned on. But also get the USB connection notification. I get as far as:
Waiting for device….
I left it there an no response.
I’ve even tried to tell the USB to use for Data and then tried for just charging. My next step is reboot the phone and start it all again and see.

Droid 1 w/FRG83d hung on "waiting for device": SuperOneClick Works using "Guest"'s trick:

1. Run SOC
2. Gets stuck on "waiting for device..."
3. ;Unplug and power down phone
4. Start SOC again and click root
5. Plug in phone - might just start up on it's own if it has battery power left, otherwise start phone
6. Let SOC finish it's work

Remember to leave debugging enabled throughout. GOTS ME ROOT BACK!!!

I just tried it (FRG83D) and it gets stuck at “Getting mount path…”
What now??

I was getting this too. Once SuperOneClick got stuck on the “Getting Mount Path” I powered off my phone and killed SuperOneClick. Once the phone was off, I started SuperOneClick and clicked root. It will stop at the “Waiting for device” point. I powered on my phone, and SuperOneClick got passed the “Getting Mount Point” and successfully rooted the phone. I had USB debugging enabled the whole time. Hope this helps.
