What is the problem with Bing? It is awesome and has voice search and a very good. It is every bit as good as Google IMO and has a wonderful photos. This maybe the upgrade to my TP2.

Whats with this bing? I was looking for an upgrade from my droid 1 but I can't give up google voice search. This is just verizon f**king you again. I can't upgrade.

The Droid 2 and the Droid X are essentially the same phone on the inside, minus a few options on the camera side. Although this phone has an 800 MHz processor, it is the SECOND generation of the snapdragon, has a lower power consumption and outperforms the current 1 GHz processors of the Droid 2 and Droid X.

Wow, this marks yet another boring phone from verizon. Not sure what this has to offer that the droid 2 doesn't have. If you listen to the complaints about the droid 2 they would be battery life and small screen. So you would think HTC would release a phone with a keyboard that had a 4″ screen and larger battery. Instead they relase one that has the same size screen, slower processor, and smaller battery for the same price. What's next from HTC a clone of the droid x with a smaller battery and processor. What the consumers want are a smart phone that lasts for a couple of days on one charge, to have the latest version of android(SF), to not be relased with know bugs (SF). IMO the only worth while phone from verizon this year was the droid X. It was a step forward, and the rest just make me shake my head.

It doesn't have a 4″ screen it is 3.7-3.8 (based on the rumors I have heard)

Default Bing search, combined with the likely hood of it having the same locked down bootloader, makes this a great device…just not for me.

Is it going to be branded a “Droid”?

Is there any chance that when it comes out it may have Google rather than Bing? If not, does that make a bog difference? Currently I'm a BlackBerry World Edition user that's up for a free upgrade so I'm thinking about an Android device and trying to decide between this HTC Merge, or the Droid Pro, or the Droid 2 World Edition.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
