Words can't describe how unbearably happy I am! I wasn't sure how things were going to go with hacking on these devices due to the hangup on the milestone. I guess what really needs to be said is Motorola gave these guys the motivation when they said "Custom ROMS would be impossible.", the lesson to be learned here: Don't tell hackers something is impossible! No matter how well oiled of a machine it may be, nothing is a perfect system.
My thanks go out to the developers and hackers behind this. I can now go back to being a flash aholic.

I'm just curious/worried... does all of this bootstrap stuff mean that work on cracking the bootloaders and therefore allowing a more stable or at least more comfortable way to flash roms and do recoveries especially for those who brick their devices who would have to sbf, re-root, reinstall bootstrap and then re-flash their recovery... cuz honestly I can name several people who won't do it until its at that more stable stage....
... is anyone still going to work on it or are they just going to accept it at the status quo?

OT:
I had to send my Droid back for a replacement, VZW stated it would be a refurb droid 1. I called when it did not arrive in 2 days as promised, they apologized and sent it off that day. I open up the box today and inside is a NIB Droid 2! An included letter apologized for inconvenience and "due to a shortage of D1 replacement devices, we have upgraded you to a brand new D2" Woo Hoo!
Quadrant score has it at 1493 (top of device list) and linpack at 13.972 !
I know it's a really dumb question, but that's pretty good, right?
