Right? IR is old tech but we use it so much. You can buy a $200 Universal remote to that has a touch screen form Logitech, but why when i can have my $200 phone do that as well as all the other functions?
Right now you can plug in an IR LED into your headphone jack but there’s only crappy apps that play .wav files when you click on the buttons. If more phone had built in IR i bet good Universal remote apps would pop up.

Oooooo. Good call. Didn’t see that the first time around. Yes. This needs to me more universal. Universal on new devices and more universal in that I want to control all current TV’s and DVD players, etc from my phone. Shouldn’t be too difficult to develop, right?

Nexus7 with Paranoid Android PIE (or something similar). Problem solved. Well… except for then you’d probably lose S-Pen, Multi-window and all that.

Love it. If it had a more dedicated dev community and a slightly lower price, I’d be all over this and forget all about the N7. I absolutely love the idea of stylus on a tablet.

Agreed 100%. People always say “ehhmahgerd less bezel” but have any of them held an iPad Mini? It has less bezel and it feel like crap in hand.

Not the same thing but ok. The pressure points of sensitivity makes the Wacom based sPen similar to using a real pen, pencil and brush. You get thinner lines when pressing on the screen with it lightly and thicker darker lines when applying more pressure. You don’t get this at all with just a stylus. As an artist who had wanted a Wacom tablet for a while this is truly incredibly and affordable, at least as far as the Note 2 is concerned since no pricing info had been released. The difference though is night and day to anyone who needs to take notes or is creative at all.

Nexus who? Capacitive buttons are inherently superior because they don’t waste valuable screen real estate and since every tablet must have a bezel, it might as well be used for something. Plus S Pen, multi-window, and micro SD? I only wish this were out now. Just wish it had a higher screen resolution.
