I think the hardware buttons are a result of an industrial design teams looking to create a unified design language across a range of devices. Especially so in the case of Samsung’s home button.

It’s understandable but misguided in the same way that manufacturer skins are misguided. They fill in some executive’s “differentiation” check box while detracting from the end-user’s experience.

Well I think it’s pretty obvious that the first thing a poweruser would do, or even anyone familiar with Android, is replace that terrible-looking launcher. I don’t speak German, so I may have missed something, but there are no app shortcuts, what appear to be faux widgets, AND no multitasking screen? Um. Eff that.

it’s not the same screen that’s on the DNA though. Seems a bit different than the one x also.

Agreed. I like my DNA, it’s an ok phone. I liked my S3 much better but poor build quality and a screen that cracked way to easily got me to switch. Hopefully Sammy will improve the build quality on the S4

Except they updated the processor and a newer version of Sense; making the DNA already out of date. I understand the whole your tech is outdated once you buy it. But as a consumer, how much faith does a company have in its products if it’s pushing out a new phone basically every quarter?
