I stated that it has become normal lexicon. That’s all I said, and it’s true. Just because Xerox, for example, may or may not provide the highest end scanner in the world, but it has become standard lexicon to “Xerox that” instead of “scan that”. The apple retina display may or may not be the best screen (doesn’t matter for this point) it has become lexicon to mean very high resolution. Welcome to marketing. You push a term enough, and people will use it.

It doesn’t actually mean anything other than “high density” which is mostly a joke anyways.
1080p phones have almost 1.5X the screen density of the last 3 iPhones. The retina iPads have a much lower screen density but they’re still called retina by Apple. What’s the actual criteria? It’s just an annoying buzzword that really means nothing.

It’s just personal preference really. The perfect solution would be to minimize the bezel even with buttons and make it so they actually disappear when the backlight is off. Smack an unlocked bootloader on there and you can take care of rommers who prefer either one.

It’s mirrored but you can definitely see where the white body wraps around the edge instead of stopping.
