Thunderbolt – ICS announcement (again)

So frustrating when companies do this. Release one model (DNA) that’s better in some ways (5″ screen) but then they release a new model (M7) that’s worse in some areas (4.7″ screen) but superior in others (bigger battery, more storage, latest Sense).

I’d like to see a DNA Maxx (or whatever) also announced to slot in above the current DNA on VZW. Give it a 2500mAh (3000 would be ideal) battery and at least 32Gb storage (64Gb would be awesome but unlikely) and price it at $250-$299. I know 3 people who bought a DNA prior to Christmas. One guy loves it, the other is grudgingly keeping it due to the screen but hates the battery and lack of storage and the 3rd guy returned it because of the aforementioned shortcomings and got a Maxx HD but regrets the step backwards in camera and screen quality.

At any rate, after the Thunderbolt/Incredible 2/Evo View/Flyer/Jetstream debacles in 2011, it’s pretty safe to say I’ll never buy anything from them again UNLESS it’s a Nexus device.

Note 2 is a massive 5.5 inch device. This is a 4.7 that’s a big difference as far as space goes.

For some, that’s true. Others, not so much. I just think if the Note 2 and others are pushing 3000 then other phones with large HD screens should follow suit.
