Same here, I remember spending a good many afternoons playing the patched version of the game. I would find an arena that was small enough that I could hide up top as an alien and then spawn marines, androids, predators, and other aliens to fight each other. Maybe even toss in a xenoborg to finish off who ever survived

You’re right about the marine missions…probably the most suspenseful game I’ve played. In fact I didn’t finish the Xbox version because it was getting on my nerves freaking me out.

The multiplayer was probably the first on line multiplayer game I tried but my connection was so bad I would always get kicked.

Yeah there is a huge amount of back story not included in the aliens movies. Not as big as the Star Wars fan universe but bigger than I would have expected

That’s kinda how I look at it. It’s in the same universe, has some of the same characters, but doesn’t follow the same story arcs (probably no Ridley). I also think they were trying to avoid any plot holes in the aliens universe.

I just think they wanted the freedom to not HAVE to make sure everything tied into the existing Alien movies perfectly and thay’s the only reason it isn’t officially a prequel.

It also gives them the freedom to follow up the prequel trilogy with more movies that can either replace or remake the original trilogy.

supposedly the sequel will just go into the legend more. the one AFTER the sequel is supposed to be the direct prequel to Alien. (gonna be a trilogy)

Also an FYI Aliens Colonial Marines is coming out for the xbox and PS3, I assume this a minor adaption of that game by the trailer, they look identical

I read something about theoretically tying Aliens, Prometheus and Blade Runner together. I don’t know how factual it was… but I thought it’d give you guys something to look up

I am not a die hard Aliens enthusiast and I haven’t seen Prometheus yet… (wife doesn’t like “scary” movies and I don’t watch many without her)

never could understand what makes people want to play games on a phone , pc screen or large flatscreen on the wall yes, but a tiny smart phone screen is just a waste of time IMHO
