I wish Swype had the regular Android speech input option. This is the one thing that’ll hold me back since both the JB keyboard and Swiftkey Flow have it.

Yeah. I wish I could get seperate number keys but having good prediction saves me a lot more time than having number keys. Hopefully with all the big screens now the keyboards start to get that option. I do use Thumb Keyboard on my tablet though, though I think SwiftKey on tablet is similar now, though I haven’t tried it.

They have it done this way for a reason. If they let the app out in the wild as a non-beta keyboard, OEMs will stop paying them for it (and, hence, we’ll stop getting their awesomeness for our Nexus devices). In my opinion, Google should have bought Swype instead of Blind Type.

Thumb keyboard is certainly not the predictive monster that is SwiftKey, but it does provide some nice features for larger screens, including layouts to choose from with designated number keys, etc.

Yes, the 1.4 version allows words to be saved. I doublechecked and tested this issue from the 1.3.5 version. However I was not able to update Swype on the fly – I had to uninstall everything Swype and reinstall from the new 2.0 installer

How are passwords going to affect the dictionary? Not every password typed is entered into a password form field.

Is this available via the Swype Installer yet? I updated to the latest version of that, and it’s still showing that the latest Swype build available for my device (GNex) is 1.4.0.

How about coming out of Beta and releasing your keyboard???
Or if you are so attached to the “Beta” tag, keep it but still release in the app store.

Does anyone know if the issue with the user dictionary has been resolved? The last version stopped learning words and wouldn’t swype words that I had input previously… It made the entire experience unusable.
