They come with google play. I don’t know how they’re aloud to. But I have a few of these different android tv sticks, and got a couple more for friends and family for Christmas this year.

maybe a slid out or flip cover qwerty keyboard so the joystick is easier to use

Archos used to charge for a Opera browser (among other basic apps) on their earlier devices. I’ve blacklisted them ever since.

It was actually really easy. I have a Sony Blu-Ray box and this is what I used:
