I really hope they expand that section into a mini news feed for nearby posts. Makes the “friends” function of FB more handy. {{-_-}}

it is a laggy stuttering piece of crap on my Nexus 4. Content may load faster but they desperately need to sort out the scrolling smoothness. Look at G+ or Google currents to see that this can be done correctly.

Hahaha!!! How hilarious is this? A fandroid site announces an update to Facebook and they show it, not on a Nexus 4, not on a GS3, but on an iPhone???? HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! Even fandroid sites know the real thing from the pretenders!!! HAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

I installed it last week…seemed like it was actually usable.

Until I tried to open it a second time. Then it just hung up…froze. I immediately uninstalled it and will not re-install it. Web-version only, for when I actually need it.

How does the new version of the app compare to the mobile site? I stopped using the app months ago. I have been happier with the website, although it doesn’t get 100% of notifications.

Used it in Vegas as well. It was pretty awesome. One of the days ended up being social media day and they were giving out tons of stuff for a check in.

i still have the pic loading issues even with the new version when they do load, it’s super quick and nice, but it seems to have the same issue where a good 25% of the time it just spins and never gets any data

After putting up with the garbage FB app since late 2009, I can say that I finally have a working version. Pics load up instantly for me, which is a HUGE deal. With the old version pics would never load.

It’s awful on my Razr Maxx as well. It force closes on me about 70% of the time now. For me, it’s not any better than it was before.
