I love the look of the bumper I just have two concerns. 1, if it’s plastic, does it have rubber or foam on the inside to prevent it from scratching the phone. and 2. is it the same soft touch feeling as the bare nexus.

I wouldn’t say that the GNex has reception problems, but I think a lot of people are comparing it to the RAZR which has a second to none radio. Doesn’t make the GNex bad, but I think this may be where people are getting the stereotype from (that and Verizon’s still new LTE network, no doubt, but that’s every phone on Verizon LTE).

It’s $20 for a piece of rubber. The profit margin on this bumper is probably better than any of Apple’s margins. Look at the Nexus 7 case, that is worth $20, I was hoping for a reasonable price or something really nice, not a $20 bumper.

The bumper would protect the edges that are likely to hit something, normally if you drop your phone, the glass doesn’t hit the ground, it’s the corner or edge, the shock caused by this hit moves through the device to crack the screens, with a bumper that shock can be absorbed.
