no kidding. =( I am kicking myself i didn’t get the iphone4. The bionic was amazing when I first got it. But, after 20 days & while on a phone call, it overheated and shut off permanently. They gave me a new one but now? This phone doen’t work like it should. =( BOOoooooo….BAD MOTOROLA!!!!!

As I understand it, we will lose our unlimited data IF we get the upgrade at the subsidized price. If we pay full price, or “bring our own” (i.e. buy elsewhere or used), then we can keep unlimited data.

No point in waiting for the upgrade if you want to keep unlimited data….

I am soooooooo disappointed about this update. My phone has shut off, frozen and will NOT allow me to open my text messages. It’s 1:56pm and I did my update at 8pm… My phone has shut down on it’s own at least 10 times and I’ve had to take the battery out at least 5 times. I wish I knew how to downgrade this smh. My Bionic was running just fine before this system update. Be careful Bionic users before you update your phone.

Off to Verizon I go!!!

I switched back from my g nex to update to ICS and give it a try. It works great! no battery drain on mine …like having a new phone.

Great update, feels like a new phone
One problem tho: Major battery drainage.

I had to do a Factory Data Reset. It took care of everything except the sluggishness and ability to disable 4G…which seems to have been intentional. I found just one app that will let me turn off 4G: Phone Info (it’s not a menu, literally search for an app called ‘phone info.’ Apps still freeze every time open them or mid-use. I lost some contact info on the reset, most specifically: contact photos. Those survived a previous Factory Data Reset and the ICS upgrade…so I don’t know why they disappeared this time.

Agreed about being the fly on the wall. I stayed on 232 until I knew that I could dl 246 and apply it manually. I didn’t want to have to relive the GB experience after being on ICS for so long.
