use adblock plus, better than just adblock on chrome extensions, gets rid of flash ads too, I hate flash ads so much.

I don’t even see them with adblock plus on chrome, but still click on the ads on the right of page sometimes when I see something relevant to me.

Except 4 million sales over the first weekend is not a “mistake”. Apple markets better. If anything, Google needs to market the Nexus line better than just uploading youtube videos.

They’ve done that with the Nexus7, and they’ve reaped the rewards. They need to do the same for the next Nexus phone.

I don’t believe that’s the case at all. I think that most realize these are rumors only at this point and the details will change. You can’t give it a shot until it is actually real and available. Once it is released and everybody knows the true specs and are able to witness it in action, people will re-evaluate.

never had an issue with it, plus the quality of the hardware was great. don’t know why you think it’s garbage. i found mine in storage just the other day, and it still works beautifully. can’t believe the battery lasted that long after not using it for 6 years!

Man, I thought I get crappy service sometimes on VZW in Long Island, NY. I can’t imagine Montana. But yes, I agree with what you have said and I really hope that Sammy or Moto comes out with a Nexus that will blow us all away. Check out the articles I’ve written on aosp.us. I went into my speculations regarding Google’s branding and marketing of its Nexus line. I really think they’re trying to become their own brand like Apple with iPhone. They like everyone using Google products, but they don’t like OEMs screwing with aosp. All we can hope is Google knows what they’re doing and doesn’t disappoint its true (hardcore) fan base.

The chocolate was a piece of garbage. This was LGs best phone. Its too bad it was tied to ATTs worthless network.

and you should (see it as a downgrade), it most likely (given the specs) be a downgrade in anything but maybe camera and screen, my point is that this phone probably isn’t aimed at you (or me), but aimed at expanding the nexus market from just developer minded people, like you, and myself, to a more user centric customer that likely has not experienced the true joy of an unskinned, pure android phone, it will expand the nexus and android brands to more people, at that is good. For you and me, this is not the nexus we are looking for, but i would bet dollars to donuts that we will see a nexus device more to our liking from someone else, like sammy, htc or moto. and i agree, storage matter to me too, i live in montana, plenty of places without wifi or cell signal, need to be able to have stuff actually on my phone, and that wont change, ever, no matter how ubiquitous cell coverage gets, there will always be places i cant get either. Now all of this is a completely moot argument if its prices with other high end devices. I think what its selling price is will give a much better indication of where they are going with the nexus brand. If this is a “high-end” device, then it appears that they are pushing on board storage out in favor of cloud (which i wouldn’t like), but this could also just be lg and not google, or am i wrong on that, i am sure google is trying to influence them to push there cloud services but i dont think they have required it as of yet and this is more lg just trying to keep costs as low as possible to spread sales to other markets other then the high-end.
